A comic genious

George Carlin was arrested in 1972 in Milwaukee for his performance of "The seven deadly words that you can't say on T.V.
He was fined $150.00 and started a whole uproar with the FCC.
I can remember the first time I ever heard his routines. My friends and I would sit around the record player and listen to albums like "Occupation: Foole. I can recall how hard we would laugh and play our favorite parts over and over again. We were just kids, and we had to be careful that our parents wouldn't hear some of the swearing. Little did we know that we were listening to a legend, although we never had heard anything like him. It never ceases to amaze me how much time has passed by, and how fast it flew past.
Although this is a comedy blog, every once in a while, a good reason comes along that allows for reflection with a little touch of sadness. But these videos are a way of embracing Carlin's magical talent for making the whole world laugh. I hope you share my sentimental view on George Carlin. Maybe he touched a part of your youth, or even your funny bone. Either way, he will be missed.
