There is something kind of wholesome about the raisin girl.She looks like she would be a very nice person to be around.It would be interesting to see if she was created from a real person but I am too tired right now to do any research.Guess back in the day it was hip to wear bonnets like that.Maybe the bonnet is what creates the wholesome persona.
And that big ole tray of grapes that she probably carried a few miles,walking from the grapevine.It could be she had to carry them that way because she couldn't put the tray on her head,otherwise she would crush her bonnet,therefore cramping her image.
With the way fashion sometimes has a way of repeating itself,we could very well see it make a comeback.
Can you picture some one like Nicole Kidman or even Beyonce bringing back that wholesome raisin girl look?
Growing up,there were always things that parents said that didn't make any sense.As a matter of fact,there are lots of things that people say even now that don't make any sense.
For example,when describing an instance where there is an over abundance of something,the phrase "We got more of those than you can shake a stick at"That one always makes me smile.
Damn it all to hell is another saying that makes no rhyme or reason.If you want to damn something,are there other places that you can damn them to?Isn't Hell THE place to damn things? There is actually a town near me that is the closest thing to hell that you can get,so I have been known to damn things to Bridgeport.But i stopped doing that because I wound up living there for a spell. I accidently damned myself.
Barking up a storm is another.My dog was outside barking so much, it actually started to rain.Maybe years ago farmers used dogs during a drought to help bring rain.
And what a week it's been.The start of a new one is just around the corner.
Cant wait to see what fun and games lie in store for this big old silly world.One thing is for sure, we can always find SOMETHING we can laugh about.
